I just pulled my brother-in-laws 57 out of his garage after 32yrs. I needed something to play with.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get the hood to release? The car is rusty and the cable will not pull. Thanks for any suggestions .
There is a rubber 1 3/4" plug on the inside of the car interior. It is located at the top of the tunnel (trans) in the middle right before it mets the firewall. Pop out the plug and you can see the bottom of the hood latch. You can see the or feel a little arm the cable is attached to, pull it to the left. You can use your finger or may have to use a screwdriver. The hood will pop open. Hope this helps. jegsr
