Is it possible to use 1958 or 1959 ford wiper linkage to replace the cable system used on 1957 fords?  Or is there something available that is easier to use and better than that spaghetti cable system used in 57?

I'm considering going completely different from stock, and mounting everything behind the firewall and only using the posts and using a Volkswagen Bus motor and building my own arms.   But to answer your question i'd find someone with a 58 and crawl under that dash and check for differences. Would bet that if you used everything from a 58 it would be a slam dunk upgrade.
