A body off restoration,I have completly rebuilt floor and trunk, inner and outer rockers, inner and outer rear qtr. panels.The front suspension has been totally replaced with new components (stock except 2 1/2 dropped spindles, h.d. sway bar and disc brakes and rack and pinion steering), the rear will be stock height with posi 3:55 planned and h.d. sway bar. Front fenders have been rebuilt with new headlight panels, fender caps, and lower patch panel / brace. All seams around headlight have been eliminated. The rear pan has been rolled, with chromed nerf bars on receiver hitch bars planned to allow removal and replacement with a trailer hitch. 63 Galaxie tailights, mirrors, and brake and gas pedals are being used. Interior is total custom with reformed dash, sweeping console, fold down rear bucket seats, 97 Mustang steering column, electric front windows, stationary rear windows. Fenton mags, factory A/C, period stickers, I intend to leave it unmolested; paint still about 95% original, engine appears to not have been torn into; (steel shim head gaskets with red paint on the corners!) , water pump even looks like the factory issue! I feel very fortunate to have stumbled on a nice car like this one, will have it driveable this summer. Ford made running changes on these cars, this one is very late production; July, my question concerns the radiator; this car has the multi ribbed top tank style, engineering code "AK", which is '58, "AJ" was '57, could this have been a late change, I know Ford would put later engineering changes on cars; I had a '69 Mustang that had '70 engineering #s on the heads; any input?
